Just Cause 3 Will Not Feature Multiplayer at Launch
Just Cause 3 was recently confirmed but at the time of confirmation, not many details were shared about the game. The only thing we know so far, is that it won’t feature microtractions which surely was a relief.
However, more news has been shared with the fans by developer Avalanche Studios which might be disappointing for some.
Similar to Just Cause 2, this next installment won’t feature multiplayer. According to Avalanche co-founder Christofer Sundberg, Just Cause 3 won’t ship with multiplayer but they might add it “sometime down the line.”
“Maybe sometime down the line, we’ll take Rico into the modern world of multiplaying,” Sundberg said.”
If you remember, Just Cause 2 got its multiplayer component on PC years later, not officially though. Some members of the modding community created a fan-made multiplayer mod for the PC version.
Could we see something similar this time around as well? Because Avalanche only seems focused on “the sandbox experience.”
“We don’t expect the fans to make the multiplayer for Just Cause 3, but at some point you have to make a choice on where your focus is, Our strength is the sandbox experience, and we want to deliver a great Just Cause 3 experience.”
Furthermore, we all know how massive the map was in Just Cause 2 but how big the map is in JC 3?
Speaking about the map size, director Roland Lesterlin stated that the map size will be similar to the one we saw in the previous game. However, it will be much more dense.
Just Cause 3 is scheduled for a 2015 release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
