World of Warcraft Under DDoS Attack, Blizzard Confirms

It is not often we see a World of Warcraft expansion suffering from launch issues, but it looks like Warlords of Draenor will need some post-release improvements.

However, we as gamers are now used to this type of situations but Blizzard’s problems don’t end there, as World of Warcraft servers have come under DDoS attack.

Blizzard is hard at work right now to fix this problem as soon as possible. The severity of this attack can be measured by the amount of issues it has caused and urgency Blizzard is showing to get on top of this situation.

Blizzard has posted a bunch of updates on Battle.net after suffering the DDoS attack affecting the launch of Warlords of Draenor.

Just by looking at these updates you can see that Blizzard is not taking this lightly. They have also announced a maintenance for the “NA realms”:

“We’ll be performing maintenance on all NA realms beginning at 5 a.m. PST in order to address issues with realm stability. We anticipate this process will last approximately 4 hours and appreciate your patience during this time.”

It will be unfair to blame Blizzard for these issues, if someone is to be blamed, it’s the individuals behind this attack.

DDoS attacks are on the rise, and they will keep increasing until some solid measures are taken to secure networks and monitor malicious activity.

Hopefully, Blizzard can resolve this as soon as possible, so fans can experience what Warlords of Draenor has to offer without any problems.
