Killer Instinct: Kan-Ra Joins Roster on November 24

By   /   Nov 14, 2014

Killer Instinct will receive a new character later this month and it will be Kan-Ra, a former Vizier to the king of Babylon.

Posting on the Ultra-Combo forums, Microsoft creative director Adam Isgreen released a number of new details about the new roster addition.

Kan-Ra will release on November 24 and will only be available to owners of the game’s Ultra version. He will then be accessible to Combo pack holders on November 30.

Kan-Ra’s lore dictate that he was inflicted with a slow-rotting curse after plotting to overthrow the ruling monarch. Over the years, he found ways to slow his “painful disintegration,” which allowed him to live past 2500 years.

The many years also allowed the scholar to grasp hold of dark magic and the ability to manipulate matter.

He seeks out magical artifacts and talismans to ease the pains and ailments these layers of curses cause him, carrying them on him in ever-growing number; a magical balancing act of curses and boons at play throughout his being.

A reveal trailer will be released next Friday and for now all Microsoft is offering is a concept art.

Isgreen also said that with upcoming characters, they plan to release more details and story content before their official release. This will allow fans to understand the characters better before picking them up in the game. This new plan will take effect from January.
