Dungeon of the Endless Patches Resolutions, Saves, Multiplayer

Update 1.1.23 for real-time strategy game Dungeon of the Endless is out and it’s a pretty big one, so if you’ve been playing the game, you might want to return. In particular, the game is much more user-friendly thanks to the First Aid Kit update, as it’s dubbed.

For starters, the game has better resolution options than those strange scaled versions. This is complemented with a windowed mode, for those who want to multitask.

It’s also possible to rebind keys in Dungeon of the Endless now, which should always be a priority. Heroes can be assigned to the standard shortcut controls Ctrl + 0-9 now.

A first version of auto-save is introduced in the First Aid Kit patch. Given the difficulty of the game, this may be a blessing to a lot of people.

Dungeon of the Endless will be a bit easier for multiplayer games through the update. A region filter is put into place, chat is possible in ending panels and sessions feature cross-platform multiplayer for PC and Mac.

Fixes in the First Aid Kit update include the adjustment of some rooms, which were previously a tad too dark. Item duplication should be taken care of as well.

Developer Amplitude Studios notes that multiplayer requires extensive testing. As such, it should be expected for more issues to still be present.

Dungeon of the Endless is the second game that the developer releases this year. Previously, the team completed Endless Legend, a 4X conquest strategy title with added roleplaying game (RPG) elements.

In Dungeon of the Endless, tower defense meets RPG meets resource management sim. It has a lot of genres woven into one, but the community seems to enjoy it, with over a thousand positive reviews on Steam and only a fraction of negative feedback.
