Valkyria Chronicles’ Steam Launch a Success

By   /   Nov 12, 2014

Sales of Valkyria Chronicles have exceeded all predictions in the first 24 hours of its launch on Steam.

Originally released for the PlayStation 3 in 2008, the award-winning Strategy RPG arrived yesterday on PC with dual language support, Steam Trading Cards, achievements, and extensive resolution and control configuration options.

Any forecasts that were made by Sega about the game’s initial sales were blown away by the response it got from the PC community. In no time Valkyria Chronicles managed to make its way to the top of Steam’s download charts, in the process beating other new releases as well.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the fans for their support in the phenomenal success of this launch,” said John Clark, Senior Vice President of Commercial Publishing for SEGA Europe, “We’re also delighted at the response from the Steam community which indicates that newcomers to the series are finding it as enchanting and engaging as those who have played it before.”

You can head over to Steam now to purchase Valkyria Chronicles for $19.99.
