PC Gear Maker Roccat Sponsors ESL Intel Extreme Masters
World’s largest, independent eSports brand of its own labeling, ESL, has partnered up with a new manufacturer to lead in the Intel Extreme Masters in San Jose next month. Peripheral producer Roccat will offer their equipment to the tournament.
Roccat products will be available in public areas of the San Jose event. Items include the Tyon gaming mouse and the Ryos TKL Pro keyboard.
Furthermore, Roccat gear will be used at all upcoming Intel Extreme Masters events this season. The next stops of the contest are set in Cologne, Taipei and the World Championship in Katowice, Poland in March of 2015.
Founded in Germany in 2007, Roccat has specialized its peripherals to cater to gamers. Moreover, the company has been aiming at the eSports circuit for some time now.
In the past, Roccat has been a sponsor for StarCraft II champion HyuN. This year, the manufacturer even created a Team ROCCAT League of Legends team, which operates from Germany and has already been able to win a few prizes.
ESL already has the longest standing sponsorship in eSports with the Intel Extreme Masters. Their partnership has been ongoing since 2006.
Other sponsors for the Intel Extreme Masters include BenQ, a known eSports supporter who frequently provides their monitors for events. Memory brand HyperX also supports the event, as well as notable teams like Team Liquid and Evil Geniuses.
Tickets for attending the San Jose Intel Extreme Masters are on sale now. Pricing for the full weekend at the stadium ranges from $27 to a whopping $244, which may still include additional fees.
