Halo: The Master Chief Collection is Suffering From Matchmaking Issues

Are you experiencing matchmaking issues with the newly released Halo: The Master Chief Collection? If so, you are not alone.

Players are having difficulties in connecting to the game’s online matchmaking server. According to some users on reddit and Halo Waypoint, they had to wait hours before they were placed in a match.

Microsoft commented on this issue with the usual “we are looking into to it” reply.

There is no fix to this issue right now but 343 Industries suggested that if it takes more than a couple of minutes, players should restart the matchmaking process.

This is certainly not a permanent fix and according to 343, they will soon fix this frustrating problem.

We’re aware that some users are experiencing longer than normal Matchmaking search times. We are actively working on a fix for this issue. We’re aware that some users are experiencing longer than normal Matchmaking search times. We are actively working on a fix for this issue.

Hopefully, players won’t have to deal with this issue for long.

New releases often suffer from one or two issues, and they are later fixed with an update. However, lately it seems as though new titles are struggling more than usual.

Maybe it’s because of the lack of experience developers have with next-gen hardware.

Let’s see if things improve as we head into 2015. The year in which some of the biggest titles are making their way into the market. It would be a shame if they suffered from similar problems.
