First Details of Telltale’s Game of Thrones Series Released
After frequent teasers and subtle hints, Telltale Games has finally come forward today to reveal the first details for Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series.
Players will play as family members of House Forrester, a noble house from the Wolfswood in the north of Westeros, bannerman to House Glover and loyal to the Starks.
The Forresters have not yet appeared in the HBO TV series but are mentioned in George R. R. Martin’s novels – A Dance With Dragons.
Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series will take place towards the end of Season 3 and will end before the start of Season 5 of the TV show. The series will feature a total of six episodes, the first of which is named “Iron From Ice.” That in turn is also the house motto of the Forresters.
The family’s Ironrath fortress is located on the edge of the largest ironwood forest in Westeros. The family controls the majority of the valuable ironwood forests in the Wolfswood, which has earned them the ire of their rivals, House Whitehill.
However, this doesn’t mean that the entire game will be restricted to just one location. Telltale Games has noted that players will be visiting other places as well, such as King’s Landing and The Wall.
Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series will be available on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, iOS, with more platforms to be announced later. A release date is still pending but the premiere “will be arriving for download soon.”
Additional details have been promised to arrive in the coming days.
