Resident Evil Revelations 2 Has New Playable Character, ESRB Rating Hints

Well, I guess it was about time as well. We have reason to believe that the upcoming iteration in the Resident Evil series is going to introduce you to a new playable character.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 is definitely going to be new, but what makes it fresher is probably this male character we have heard of recently.

While you might think otherwise, the source where we got this information is a lot more reliable than your usual rumor mill. The ESRB rating for our game just got out and it drops a line or two about the story setting of the game.

There is going to be a playable male character who is a husband as well as a father looking for his lost daughter on an island.

You might want to read up on the complete rating description for Resident Evil Revelations 2:

This is an action-adventure game in which players assume the roles of an imprisoned woman and a father searching for his daughter on an island. Players use pistols, machine guns, rocket launchers, shotguns, and knives to kill zombies and mutated creatures. Combat is highlighted by screams of pain, realistic gunfire, and large blood-splatter effects.

A handful of enemies are depicted with exposed organs, and one scene depicts an enemy having its hand cut off in slow-motion. Another scene depicts a human character shooting herself in the head with a pistol, resulting in a large splatter of blood. The words “f**k” and “sh*t” appear in the dialogue.

So who could this new character be? My best guess is that it would be Moira’s father, Barry Burton – things would get really interesting if it is him right?

Who do you think is the father they are going to bring to us in Resident Evil 2 Revelations?
