343 Industries has released a new world-viewing app called Halo Starscope that allows Halo fans to explore the rich universe of the franchise.

Users can head out and explore locations from the different installments, including the original Halo ring known as Installation 4, the home world of the Covenant and more.

Opening up each location will give you the opportunity to learn about its history and also compare shots of the new overhauled versions with the original ones.

You can check out Halo Starscope here. It’s viewable on both your standard web browser and on mobile devices.

This is of course to get everyone ready for Halo: The Master Chief Collection that is scheduled for release on the Xbox One this week.

In related news, HaloFest has officially begun and has already seen to the first few matches of Halo: The Master Chief Collection taken place.

A new round of matches will continue through to tomorrow, and then into the last day of the event on November 10 where 343 Industries will air the first glimpse of the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta and the first episode of Halo: Nightfall.

Keep yourself tuned to Xbox.com and Twitch at around 8PM PST / 11PM EST.
