Advanced Warfare Gets Double XP Weekend, What About Connectivity Issues?

By   /   Nov 8, 2014

It’s been just a few days since Call of Duty Advanced Warfare got released in the market and already we have our first Double XP Weekend Event.

That’s right, this weekend players will get double xp in all multiplayer modes of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, helping them rank up quickly. Live across all platforms, the event will go on until Monday November 10.

The bad news is, earning double xp might get frustrating if you are experiencing connection issues, lag and a horrible hit detection.

The game has been suffering from these issues since launch and it seems like it is not an isolated issue, players all over the internet are reporting their experiences.

Thankfully, Sledgehammer has stated that an update is in the works, which includes connectivity optimization and the update is expected soon.

However, I feel that it would have been better to fix these issues before starting a double xp weekend.

Moreover, fans have been asking Sledgehammer for dedicated servers and they have finally commented on that. The following statatement was posted on Sledgehammer’s website:

“Advanced Warfare employs game servers hosted at data centers globally on all platforms and listen servers as part of our proprietary matchmaking system. Our goal is to ensure the best possible connection and greatest gameplay experience regardless of location and time of day.”

So? Anything in their which lets us know when to expect dedicated servers?

Call of Duty Advanced Warfare is now available on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows PC.
