Call of Duty is certainty among one of the best franchises but do you think it’s “The” best of all time? It triumphs over the likes of Grand Theft Auto? and Mario?

It seems that it does, according to a poll held by Guinness World Records.

Guinness World Records asked fans and readers of their gaming edition, to vote for the best video game series of all time.

And the final result showed a victory for Call of Duty. According to Craig Glenday, Editor and Chief of GWR:

“More than 5,000 fans of the book from 140 countries across the world took to an online poll to vote for their favourite games, and the top 50 record-breaking games were featured in the book.”

After the poll Call of Duty came out on top, beating the mighty GTA (4th place), Minecraft (3rd place) and Mario (runner up).

Being a huge fan of Call of Duty my self I am quite happy with these results. However, just 5000 fans determining the best series of all time?

Anyway, these results came just at the right time as it will give a lot of attention to the franchise and its latest installment, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare.

Do you agree with these results? Which series do you think deserves to be the best of all time? Share your thoughts and views with us in the comments below!
