New World of Speed Gameplay Footage Shows Some Exhilarating Action

Slightly Mad Studios has revealed around four minutes of gameplay footage for its current project World of Speed. The same studio is also behind the upcoming Project Cars so considering their exceptional talent, expectations from this new title are high.

The footage shows us the game’s Moscow track, where a Mercedes SLS and an RUF RK Coupe are going head to head in an intense face-off.

Considering the game is a free to play MMO racer, visuals look impressive and the game pretty much leans towards an arcade racer instead of a simulator.

World of Speed is a team based racer and features destructible open environments. The goal is to take control of various tracks and circuits around the globe on locations such as Moscow, London and Monaco among others.

Players create or join a certain club with other members and participate in 2 vs 2 or 4 vs 4 races to get the maximum points value and take control of the area.

In World of Speed, Players are able to earn rewards by completing challenges such as finishing first, clean turns, drafting other cars and more.

These rewards can be used to upgrade your vehicle so that you can have an edge in the next event. The game requires you to use both defensive and offensive tactics.

Slightly Mad Studios hasn’t announced a solid release date yet, but the game is expected to go into closed beta on PC by the end of this year.
