Smite Will Enter Closed Beta On Xbox One in Early 2015

Hi-Rez Studios revealed earlier this year that they will be releasing their unique third person MOBA title, Smite on Xbox One via ID@Xbox, and today, the co-founder and COO of Hi-Rez, Todd Harris revealed that the team is aiming to organize a closed beta on Microsoft’s next gen console in early 2015.

We’re working really hard on a console version of Smite, and in the beginning of the year, we’re going to start closed beta for the Xbox One version. We hope to release that in the first half of next year.

Smite lets you play as different mythical gods such as Hercules, Odin, Thor and a lot more. Team structure of the game is similar to any other MOBA with each team consisting of either three or five players.

Apart from the human players, the game also features plenty of AI controlled enemies that will be spread out in the different lanes.

Smite made its way to PC earlier this year and received a great reception from critics and fans alike. Due to lack of MOBA titles on the consoles, it is safe to assume that a large number of players will be attracted towards this game.

Are you looking forward to get your hands on this popular MOBA on your Xbox One console? Let us know in your comments!
