Next Assassin’s Creed Game to Use New Engine? Ubisoft is Hiring

It makes me wonder how this development studio can pull off so much work at the same time and still manage to be successful in their projects.

Ubisoft is currently knee deep in the development of Far Cry 4 and Assassin’s Creed Unity, but it seems like they have time to look on towards the future and probably the next Assassin’s Creed game already.

There is a job listing on the official Ubisoft website for Technical Art Director, but that is not the interesting part.

Among the responsibilities for the new employee, they state that he/ she will determine strengths and weaknesses of the existing game engines and then ‘help design a new engine if the existing ones are not useful and inform the programming team of graphic needs.’

So obviously all of this is just a speculation but looking at how they have been bent on upgrading the games in term of visuals, especially the Assassin’s Creed titles, I am thinking that they would soon land a new game engine.

Well, it’s not like Ubisoft has really missed out on developing AC titles. The reason why I say that the probable new engine could be used to build the next Assassin’s Creed game is because they are releasing so many new titles in the series that AC has more chances of being the first game on the new engine – if they make any.

What do you think Ubisoft has in mind for the future?
