Far Cry 4 PC Recommends 8GB RAM, GTX 680; Specs Revealed

Only couple of days ago Ubisoft announced that Far Cry 4 had gone gold which means everything is ready and in order; it just depends on the developers as to when they wish to release more details on the final version.

One part that they have shared recently is the minimum and recommended PC requirements for the game. With the minimum playable specifications aside I am sure of one thing, if you wish to play the game on the recommended specifications you better have a juiced up machine.

Minimum Specifications:

  • Operating system: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8/8.1 (64bit versions only)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-750 @ 2.6 GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 955 @ 3.2 GHz
  • Memory: 4GB
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD5850 (1GB VRAM)
  • Direct X: Version 11
  • Hard Drive: 30 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card with latest drivers

Recommended Specifications:

  • Operating system: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8/8.1 (64bit versions only)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-2400S @ 2.5 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz or better
  • Memory: 8GB
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 or AMD Radeon R9 290X or better (2GB VRAM)
  • Direct X: Version 11
  • Hard Drive: 30 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card with latest drivers

Apart from Microsoft Windows, Far Cry 4 is being developed for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The game is slated for release in US on November 18, in the European Union and Australia on November 20 and finally in Japan on January 22.
