Eye of Azshara Trademark Filed by Blizzard

By   /   Nov 3, 2014

Blizzard has filed a trademark for something called “Eye of Azshara,” which at this point remains a mystery as to what it exactly is.

Seeing that it’s classified under “Computer game software, computer game discs, downloadable computer game software,” it’s safe to assume that it’s an upcoming expansion pack to either World of Warcraft or Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft.

That said, World of Warcraft is already expecting an upcoming expansion pack called Warlords of Draenor. It would be pretty strange for Blizzard to announce the next expansion pack even before the last one has released.

That leaves us with Hearthstone and seeing how popular the recent Naxxramas patch was, it only figures that the developer is going to release another add-on.

BlizzCon 2014 takes place next week and will be the time when Blizzard puts all rumors to rest. We’re likely going to be hearing about Warlords of Draenor and be getting a confirmation on this mysterious new “Eye of Azshara” entity.
