Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel’s First DLC Character is Jack, the Doppelganger
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel has brought back every major character from previous installments that were until now unplayable. Take the likes of the annoying Claptrap unit for example or the fastest gun on this side of Pandora’s moon – Nisha.
With such a roster Gearbox Software’s latest announcement came less surprising, but still will have the fans excited. The first add-on pack for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will bring Handsome Jack, the Doppelganger, as a playable fifth character.
The announcement was made by Gearbox Software over the weekend during the PAX Australia event. Seeing that the game’s plot also largely revolves around Handsome Jack and his rise to power, it made even more sense to add him in there as a playable character.
However, the new Vault Hunter is only a clone but will host the same ambitions and personality, along with a set of unique attacks.
The new character’s skill trees are called The Hero of this Story (defensive and grenade buffs), Greater Good (co-op and Fight for Your Life focused), and Free Enterprise (encourages weapon switching and considers weapon manufacturer).
His Action Skill is called Expendable Assets and upon activation summons two other Digi-Jack clones to fight alongside him. Jack, the Doppelganger, will be available on November 11 in the Handsome Jack Doppelganger Pack, which is included in the game’s season pass.
It will also be available as standalone DLC for $9.99. Unlike Borderlands 2, Gearbox plans to add more playable characters. One more will follow the addition of Handsome Jack. Any guess as to who?
