The fascinating and inspirational story behind the development of Halo 2 Anniversary is now available. Yesterday, Microsoft released a free documentary called Remaking The Legend, which showcased the process and all the hard work that went into remaking the legend which is Halo 2.

It is common knowledge that the upcoming Halo: The Master Chief Collection features a remake of the origin Halo 2 but what improvements were made to the game while working on a next-gen port of this classic title are detailed in Remaking the Legend.

The most notable upgrade is to the visuals, lighting and textures of the game but some hefty improvements have also been made to cutscenes, multiplayer maps and sound effects.

What’s more impressive is the ability to switch between the original and the HD remake with the press of a button anytime you like.

This feature alone can make us spend countless hours comparing the visual of both versions.

If you would like to watch this documentary, then all you have to do is get an Xbox One or Xbox 360 and search for Remaking The Legend in Xbox Video app.

And that’s it, now just download the free video and enjoy.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is slated for a November 11 release exclusively on Xbox one.
