LittleBigPlanet 3 is Fully Backwards Compatible With Previous LBP Games
Sony has announced its upcoming LittleBigPlanet 3 game to be fully backwards compatible with the previous two installments in the franchise.
This puts players at ease who will now be able to carry forward not only their save profiles, but also all of their downloadable content collection. Those who have spent years collecting in either the first LittleBigPlanet title or the recent one will not have all that time put to waste.
Posting on the official PlayStation blog, Sony explained that transferring your DLC collections includes all level packs and outfits. All that’s required is a re-download from LBP 3’s in-game store at no additional cost.
Importing your profiles will cross over every goodie you’ve come across so far – costumes, objects, music tracks, etc.
Additionally any content that you were ever able to publish previously will be available on your LittleBigPlanet Earth within LittleBigPlanet 3. Sony has also dropped in the ability to transfer LBP 3 custom content from the PS3 to the PS4.
You can publish levels containing this content in Prize Bubbles so that your Sackboy or Sackgirl can visit these levels to pick your goodies up for your latest creations on PlayStation 4.
“One of our biggest goals with LittleBigPlanet 3 on both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 was to ensure that all of your previous hard work and item collections would carry over into the latest instalment in the series, so we’re very happy to be able to bring this news to you today,” wrote Steven Isbell, LittleBigPlanet community co-ordinator.
More details and instructions will be revealed soon. LittleBigPlanet 3 launches on November 28 for PS4 and PS3.
