Far Cry 4: Battles of Kyrat Multiplayer Features Three Modes
Ubisoft has finally unveiled the Battles of Kyrat multiplayer mode for Far Cry 4.
A new video reveals that the multiplayer will have three different game modes in which players will fight as both the Golden Path and Rakshasa in round-based combat.
- Outpost – The Golden Path works to establish an outpost in the region while the The Rakshasa are looking to rid the land of all non-believers, and secure the outpost for Pagan Min.
- Propaganda – The Golden Path has to bomb and destroy these three propaganda installations, putting a stop to the spread of Pagan Min’s corruption.
- Demon Mask – Both sides have to capture the mythical Demon Mask by using a combination of stealth and outright assault to bring it back to their home base. Work together to prevent these sacred artifacts and their unique powers from falling into enemy hands.
On release, the game will include ten maps and Ubisoft will add in more with future DLC packs. It’s unknown whether the same applies for the game modes. Looking at other titles, it’s highly likely that we’ll get more game modes in the future as well.
Each match will average twenty minutes and players will take on each faction in a 5v5 round-based match. The one with the best performance will win at the end.
Previously, a statement from the developer was taken out of context that led everyone to believe that the multiplayer will be locked behind a paywall.
Ubisoft has clarified since then that the season pass will only add a new multiplayer mode. Players don’t have to purchase the season pass to be able to play online.
Far Cry 4 is scheduled for release on November 18 in North America and November 20 in Europe for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
