Dying Light Last-Gen Version Cancelled, Only Coming to PC, Xbox One and PS4

Techland has revealed that its upcoming title, Dying Light has been cancelled for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The developers made this announcement on their Facebook page, where they wrote that the old-gen systems aren’t powerful enough to support the game, which is why it will only come to new gen consoles and PC.

After thorough internal testing, we have come to the conclusion that we have no choice but to leave past-gen systems behind and release Dying Light exclusively on the next-gen consoles and PC. Put simply, older consoles just couldn’t run the game and stay true to the core vision of Dying Light at the same time.

It is a good decision if you look at it from the developers’ point of view, as now they have an opportunity to utilize the power of new gen consoles and bring us the best possible experience.

However, this news must be disappointing for the Xbox 360 and PS3 users, but now they must realize that it’s time to move on to the next-gen.

Dying Light is a bit different from the other zombie games, as it adds parkour moves to the mix, which allows you to climb different buildings, take vantage points, jump over walls and more.

Xbox One, PS4 and PC users will be able to get their hands on Dying Light starting January 27, 2015.
