New Dota 2 update has ended hero restrictions in Captain’s Draft. The latest update which went live on October 27 also fixed a couple of bugs.

Previously, captain of each team could ban three heroes. After that, players took turns to select five heroes each for their respective teams.

Since the update went live players can choose any hero they want without any restrictions. Apart from this change, the update addressed issues with path finding. You can check out the change-log below:

  • Fixed various bugs related to Path Finding
  • Captain’s Draft no longer has any restricted heroes
  • Fixed a bug with how the waves in Requiem of Souls calculate the area near the center

Similar restriction is applied to captain’s mode as well where a captain bans certain heroes and players from either team aren’t able to select them. After which five heroes are selected for each side.

The game features combat within a three-dimensional environment, and players can purchase a number of items with in game currency, which can be used to enhance statistics and abilities of heroes.
