35 Minutes of Super Smash Bros. Video Reveals New Details
Nintendo dropped a ton of information during their Super Smash Bros Wii U presentation but one of the biggest highlights was the ability to have eight players simultaneous battles.
Players can now enjoy eight player battle and to accommodate all these players, 4 new stages are being introduced in the game.
This option appears only in the Wii U version, and lets players compete on even larger stages to accommodate all the characters.” Said Nintendo.
As you know, Nintendo is planning to release their Amiibo figurines but their exact function has so far been a little ambiguous. Nintendo explained that placing the Amiibo on Wii U GamePad will allow that character to join the game as a “figure-player.”
The Amiibo figure will gain experience through battle, which will enable them to get stronger and add equipment. According to Nintendo:
Players can have amiibo fight one another, and amiibo will bring you presents from the battles they fight in.
One of the most exciting feature is the option to create your own stages for battle. Using the Wii U GamePad’s touch functionality players can build their own stages, share them with friends and other Smash Bros. players worldwide.
Furthermore, players who own both Wii U and 3DS iterations of Smash, will be able to download MewTwo as a playable character for free. Mewtwo is in development for both systems and is slated for a release in spring 2015.
Earlier this month, Nintendo promised to share 50 new facts about the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros, and they have kept their promise. You can know everything you need to know regarding Smash on Wii U, in the video above.
