Dead or Alive 5: Last Round Releases on Next-Gen Consoles on February 17

By   /   Oct 23, 2014

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round is scheduled for release on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 17, 2015 in North America and three days later in Europe, publisher Tecmo Koei confirmed today.

The fourth and final iteration of Team Ninja’s fighting game will be available in two different versions on the current-gen consoles. The retail and digital versions will include all content for the price of $39.99 and $29.99 respectively.

On the other hand the game will also have a free-to-play version on both consoles called Dead or Alive 5: Last Round – Core Fighters. This will include only four playable characters: Ayane, Hayate, Kasumi and Ninja Gaiden’s Ryu Hayabusa. Those who want to try out the game for free will have the option to expand their roster by purchasing other characters.

While the PlayStation 4 free version has pretty much everything included – Game Modes – alongside the four playable characters, the Xbox One version will require a $4.99 purchase before players can add other fighters individually. This purchase will add Hitomi, Tina, Lee and Bass.

If you’ve already played Dead or Alive 5: Ultimate then all unlocked titles, costumes and story mode progress will transfer over from the last-gen versions.

Finally, Tecmo Koei confirmed that the game’s pre-order bonuses will feature different costume packs that will vary between participating retailers. These include a Ninja-themed pack for Ayane, Hayabusa, Hayate and Kasumi.
