Hearthstone for Mobile Phones Delayed to Early 2015
Blizzard has revealed that its famous digital collectible card game, Hearthstone will not be making its way to Android and iPhone devices this year.
The game was slated for release on mobile phones by the end of this year, but now it has been delayed because developers need more time to work on it.
Christina Sims, the community manager for Blizzard wrote in a new update that the game will now launch in early 2015.
We’re also close to having Hearthstone out to our iPhone and Android phone users, but it’s become clear that we need a little more time to get that version right. While we have a build up and running internally, it needs a bit more work, and we don’t feel like we’ll be ready to share it with you until early next year.
On the other hand, Hearthstone for Android tablets will release as planned by the end of this year:
We’ve got our sights set on a release for Android tablets, our next new platform, before the end of the year; we’ve just got a few more mana crystals to polish and some Angry Chickens to chase down.
Christina further clarified that the delay of mobile version is largely due to the difficulty that developers are facing in building a user friendly interface just like the PC and tablet versions.
We hope that it doesn’t get delayed any further, so that the fans of Hearthstone can get in on the action on their mobile phones.
Are you looking forward to play Blizzard’s card game on the go?
