Shadow of Mordor Gets Free Power of Shadow DLC
While Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor has a Season Pass to sell off pieces of important content, the game does come with a few freebies as well. Publisher Warner Bros has released a Power of Shadow bundle that lets the main character, Talion, get even darker.
This free downloadable content (DLC) has two items. Its first is an outfit that lets players take on the outfit of their nemesis, the Black Hand of Sauron. That’s going to be an awkward get together when they meet in those final moments.
There are also three new upgrades that can be purchased, as Talion grows in levels. We’ll list these below:
- One with Nature – Immunity to Poison attacks from Uruk Captains or Ghuls.
- Ascendant – Double Focus Time for slow motion ranged combat.
- Elven Grace – Increased defence which halves the damage of enemy strikes.
So far, the Power of Shadow DLC is only available for Xbox One. It will soon come to the Playstation 4 and Steam version of Shadow of Mordor as well.
In particular, that immunity to poison could remove one of the final barriers that hinder the facilitating combat elements in the game. Its green glow is more annoying than the actual damage poison does though.
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor has quickly made a name for itself this month, thanks to a novel nemesis system that grows relationships between enemies. As players fight and kill orcs, the hierarchy of the enemy army changes to display new power struggles or movements in ranks.
