Tekken 7 Arcade Release Date Set for Early 2015 in Japan

By   /   Oct 20, 2014

Tekken fans will be excited to know that the heavily anticipated Tekken 7 will be available in Japanese arcades starting February 2015.

The arcade version of the game went through location testing just recently in Japan, which gave us a bunch of information about the upcoming title.

Namco Bandai’s next installment in the long running series will feature some new characters along with series regulars. The current known roster features King, Lars, Law Leo, Bryan, Alisa, Asuka, Dragunov, Feng, Kazuya, Heihachi, Lili, Paul, Steve, Xiaoyu and Hwoarang.

Location testing has also revealed Katarina and Claudio as 2 new additions in Tekken 7.

Apart from these new characters, Tekken 7 will feature a couple of new fighting mechanics known as Rage Arts and Power Crush. Rage Arts is only available on low health and it increases the damage of an attack. Which means that your attacks on low health, will have more power.

While the other addition Power Crush are special attacks that won’t be interrupted if your character is hit during the attack’s execution. Meaning that a Power Crush animation will not be interrupted no matter what.

At the moment, no information is available regarding Tekken 7 arcade being released in other regions but hopefully we will hear something soon.
