The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth Almost Had TF2 Poop Hats
Since The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is releasing on Steam, you can bet that it will have Team Fortress 2 hats. Those who preorder the game will receive a pair of Brimstone Horns.
They look like cartoon horns on either side of your character’s face. That’s pretty much it.
Then again, things may have had a much different turnout. Some of the ideas originally sent out to Valve included a crying face and also a coiling turd.
While the latter option actually does look pretty stylish in the blog post detailing this, it doesn’t look like Valve had the same vision. The developer commented:
Skatole was a big front runner, but in the end, they didn’t really want everyone running around with a wet dump on their heads.
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is a much enhanced rework of the original release. Along with a different visual style, the game also includes a ton more content.
New items in The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, for instance, are a Hard mode with unique content, cooperative gameplay and a bunch more characters. Not necessarily tied to the game, there’s also one of the weirdest trailers ever released coming from these, let’s say, unique individuals.
Those who own the original Binding of Isaac will get 33% off the regular price of the new version, if they choose to go for a preorder.
The original Binding of Isaac is a cult classic, helped into existence by the fame of Super Meat Boy. To this day, the game still has thousands of players and over 25,000 reviews on Steam.
