First Mario Kart 8 DLC to Feature “Master Cycle” Bike for Link

By   /   Oct 15, 2014

Nintendo of America revealed earlier today that the first pack of downloadable content for Mario Kart 8 will feature a “Master Cycle” bike for Link.

Epona may not be around, but the bike is still designed around the shape of a horse. Nintendo found it necessary to issue a pun through Twitter, saying that “the Master Cycle is part of the first DLC pack for #MK8 and has plenty of horse power.”

Titled ‘The Legend of Zelda X Mario Kart 8’ pack, the DLC is scheduled for release this November and will cost $7.99. It will add three new characters as playable racers – Link Cat Peace and Tanooki Mario, four vehicles and eight new courses.

The second DLC pack will then release in May, 2015 and will add Isabelle and the Villager from Animal Crossing, as well as Dry Bowser, as playable characters. Similar to the first one, it will feature four new vehicles, eight new courses and also be priced at the same $7.99.
