Rainbow Six: Siege Will Run at 60FPS on All Platforms

By   /   Oct 13, 2014

While responding to a question put forth on Twitter, the relative official game account has confirmed that Rainbow Six: Siege will be running at 60FPS across all platforms.

Rainbow Six: Siege is a reboot of the tactical shooter which pits a SWAT team against the terrorists. Players playing the role of the latter will be tasked with fortifying their positions to protect the objective, which can be either hostages or weapon/ammo crates.

Players playing as SWAT are then sent in to clear the area, take down threats and in turn secure the objectives.

SWAT can go for multiple entries and are armed with various gadgets to help them either barge or sneak through. The Terrorists on the other hand have to figure out the layout themselves as well and anticipate SWAT’s moves.

The game was announced during E3 this year and the initial impressions were pretty good. There’s a lot of competitive side to the game and it running at 60FPS was almost a necessity. It’s great to see Ubisoft actually deliver this time around.

Ubisoft has not decided on a release date except for the 2015 release window. Rainbow Six: Siege is in development for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
