Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Getting Four New Mega Evolutions

By   /   Oct 13, 2014

Enough of permanent evolutions, lets fight out with the mega evolved versions of our Pokemon! The upcoming games in the universe, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are going to feature a lot of them; four new mega evolved Pokemon have been detailed.

A recent issue of CoroCoro Magazine had a feature on the games where the mega evolutions were showcased. Since the whole thing was in Japanese we are relying on the translation by Serebii.

Based on the news, the mega evolutions of Latios, Pidgeot, Latias and Beedrill have been confirmed and revealed. Out of these, the developers have also detailed Pidgeot and Beedrill.

Mega Pidgeot is going to be a Normal/Flying type Pokemon carrying a No Guard ability while on the other hand, Mega Beedrill is going to be capable of Adaptability; it is a Bug/Poison type Pokemon.

You will also be able to ride the skies with Mega Latios and Mega Latias. Over the Hoenn region you can fly up to find numerous other Pokemon including Zekrom, Reshiram, Plakia, Dialga as well as some normal Pokemon.

However, Latias is only going to appear in Omega Ruby and Latios will be restricted to Alpha Sapphire.

As far as flying is concerned, we are not sure whether you will be able to soar the whole overworld or not.

The previous installment in the world of Pokemon had brought mega evolutions to the limelight. Looking at how Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are following the same line, it seems that the future titles might also follow suit.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are going to be released to Nintendo 3DS on November 21 in Japan, North America and Australia. European Union will get it on November 28.
