LEGO Batman Movie Announced, Planned For Release in 2017

By   /   Oct 11, 2014

According to a report by Hollywood Reporter the LEGO version of the caped crusader is getting its own spin-off movie. Not only that, but the LEGO Batman movie is apparently being fast tracked.

The 2014 release of The LEGO Movie proved to be quite successful, therefore a sequel was in development immediately after its release. Chris Mackey was tasked with the direction of this sequel.

Unfortunately, The LEGO Movie 2 got pushed back to 2017 but the good news is, we will be graced with not one but two LEGO movies in 2017. The second one being the LEGO Batman spin-off.

Again, Mackey will be the director and the Dark Knight will be voiced by none other then Will Arnett himself. The list of producers include Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller while this adventure of LEGO Batman will be written by Seth Grahame-Smith.

One of the highlights of The LEGO Movie was indeed the character of Batman; so him getting his own movie is pretty exciting.

The famed vigilante is also featured in some LEGO games as well such as LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham which is slated for release next month on all major platforms.
