Early Alpha Teaser for Kingdom Come: Deliverance Revealed

By   /   Oct 8, 2014

A teaser trailer showing the early Alpha build of the upcoming RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance was revealed today by developer/publisher Warhorse Studios.

The roughly two minute video showcases some of the beautiful scenery, farmland, and villages of 15th century medieval Europe and gives gamers a good feeling of what to expect the game to look like graphically. No combat or gameplay footage yet folks!

Kingdom Come: Deliverance will be a first-person open world role-playing game. Judging from the new video, it seems vaguely reminiscent of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Graphics is about where the similarities end as Kingdom Come: Deliverance has many different mechanics and concentrates on historically accurate and realistic gameplay.

For example, conversations will be dynamic and players will have different options and dialogue trees to choose from. Your decisions and even your response time will affect the flow of the conversation which ultimately could affect the story or mission.

The game also features a “needs” system which means you need to eat and sleep to stay in good shape. Clothes degenerate over time and food spoils. Inventory management will therefore play a large role in the game.

There will also be a reputation system so your decisions carry long-lasting consequences. Gamers will be able to play the Alpha starting October 22nd and are encouraged to sign up for access at kingdomcomerpg.com.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance doesn’t have a solid release date just yet but is expected to come out sometime in Q4 2015 on PC and Mac. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions will be released sometime after that.

You might expect a game with such a dynamic open world which is also being released first for PC would be an MMORPG but that is not the case with Kingdom Come: Deliverance. It is actually a single player only game.
