State of Decay has Sold 2 Million Copies Since Its 2013 Release
Undead Labs released its open world zombie title State of Decay last year and the game has proven to be a big success for the company.
Since its launch, State of Decay has sold more than 2 million copies on Steam and Xbox Live Arcade.
It is to note here that these sales numbers are from copies sold on Xbox 360/PC and does not include sales figures of downloadable content. On the official website of Undead Labs, the developer behind State of Decay has the following to say regarding this impressive achievement.
“There just aren’t the right words to tell you how much this means to us. No marketing, no advertising, just you playing and streaming and spreading the word. You made this happen, and if we could individually thank each person who hit that download button, we would. Your enthusiasm and support have been everything. Thank you.”
By October 2013, the game moved one million copies and since then sales have been pretty steady. Of course, 2 million is a milestone that should be celebrated and Undead Labs are planning to do exactly that. They announced a month long celebration via their official page and asked fans to check back for more details.
Undead Labs is also working on an Xbox One version of the game which is said to feature sharper textures, better zombie animations and full 1080p visuals. The game will be released in spring 2015 on Xbox One/PC via Steam and XBLA. Also, it will come bundled with Breakdown and Lifeline DLC.
