Rise of the Triad Adds Steam Workshop Support With Patch 1.5

By   /   Oct 3, 2014

Rise of the Triad will finally be getting official Steam Workshop support with the new 1.5 patch. Thus allowing players to create custom maps and mod other elements to keep a fresh perspective on things.

A newly released trailer by Interceptor Entertainment explains just how handy Steam Workshop support will come by. Players can craft their own creative landscapes for both the single-player and multiplayer game modes.

It was perhaps to celebrate this occasion that the developer has announced the game to be free to play this weekend on Steam. The free trial will run from now until Sunday, 1:00 p.m. PDT. The game is also currently on sale for 75 percent, which is a fantastic offer.

Players can try out the game at first for free, and if they do decide on purchasing it, they’ll be doing so at a greatly discounted price.

Rise of the Triad is a reboot of the original title released back in 1995 and is a fast-paced chaotic first-person shooter. The single player campaign features twenty levels and puts five different characters under the player’s control. The multiplayer component, on the other hand, includes all maps from the original title.
