Play Games on Nintendo 3DS Using any GameCube Controller!

By   /   Oct 1, 2014

With the release of Super Smash Bros for 3DS, some of you might have ended up with broken analog sticks due to the vigorous needs of controls in the game – not to forget the addictive nature of the game!

However, your hardships can be solved if you are okay with a lengthy and probably ugly modification to your Nintendo 3DS. A modder has actually invented a GameCube adapter for the handheld allowing owners to play all the games they want using a GameCube Controller.

As you can see in the video above, the guy has actually made it and it seems like the usage is very smooth; just as the video states ‘no more hand cramps or broken Circle pad.’

However, there is a downside to it; you will have to go through a lot of changes to your Nintendo 3DS which will probably result in an invalidation of the warranty. Also, you will have to attach a circuit board to the handheld.

Other than that, the items required are things like 1uf capacitor, 330 Ohm resistor, 2N7000, 1k resister and of course a classic GameCube Controller.

Check out the video above and tell us is your love for Super Smash Bros for 3DS so great that you would go through all these changes to your Nintendo 3DS?
