Bayonetta 2 Cannot Come to PS4 and Xbox One Unless Nintendo Allows It

One of the developers behind the upcoming title Bayonetta 2 has clarified that the game will not be making its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Platinum Games’ Hideki Kamiya sent several responses to the fans, who asked about the PS4/Xbox One port of Bayonetta 2, explaining why it will not be possible.

Kamiya stated that after the success of original Bayonetta, studio wanted to do the sequel but didn’t have enough funds in the bank to do so. Due to this reason, they took their title to different publishers but couldn’t find any partner company.

After this disappointment, developers decided to scrap the idea of Bayonetta 2 but at that moment, Nintendo stepped in and offered their support for the sequel.

Kamiya continued to say, if you are looking to play the game on PS4 or Xbox One, then you just have to ask Nintendo for their permission.

If you want Bayonetta 2 on PS4 or Xbox One, how about trying to ask Nintendo? If Nintendo doesn’t say yes, it’s not going to happen. While you’re at it, try asking for Mario and Zelda too.

And we all know that is not going to happen. Nintendo doesn’t allow its exclusives to get to other platforms no matter what so the possibility of the game coming to other platforms is as good as none.

Bayonetta 2 released in Japan on 20th of September and it will be making its way to the west on 24th of this month.
