Shadow of Mordor Gets a Launch Trailer, Ready to Face the Evil?

Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor launch trailer is here and it’s awesome. Releasing today, the game will take players between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.

Guardian of the Black Gate of Mordor Talion (played by Troy Baker), who is a ranger of Gondor is murdered along with his entire family by Sauron’s armies. But he is revived by an ancient force and he his now on the hunt for each and everyone responsible for the murder of his family.

The 2 minute launch trailer released by Monolith Studios gives a brief insight on the story along with showcasing some of the vicious enemies you will be facing such as the Orcs.

The footage in question also features some of important characters from the game such as Celebrimbor and Gollum. Also, it gives us a peek at an interesting and integral feature of the game called the “Nemesis System”. According to WB, the Nemesis system allowed them to make an emotional connection between the players and their enemies.

“The team and technology powering the Nemesis System helped us develop an emotional investment between each player and their enemies, which creates a truly memorable gaming experience unlike anything that’s been done before,”
