Get a Free Ryse Son of Rome PC Game if you are a True Son of Rome

Crytek is giving away a free copy of Ryse Son of Rome PC version, but only to those who really are sons (or daughters) of Rome.

In an upcoming event that is going to be held in Rome, Italy the developers of the game are going to give away free games to people who can prove that they were actually born in the city of Rome. How cool is that.

While it might be a downer for the non-Roman fans of the game, it still is a great way of marketing a game:

To celebrate the upcoming launch of Ryse: Son of Rome for PC, Crytek are heading to Italy’s capital city to give the game away for free to genuine sons (and daughters!) of Rome. The promotion comes ahead of Ryse being released digitally for PC on October 10, and will take place during the “Romics” festival of comics, animation and games.

Now, even if you were born in the Italian capital, there still are a number of things that you will need to take care of. The first on the list is that you will have to bring along your passport to the event that is going to be held on October 4 at the Rome Exhibition Center.

Presenting the passport as your proof of being a ‘true son of Rome’ at the Main Stage of Hall 8 will get you your free copy of Ryse Son of Rome PC version.

Secondly you have to be there as soon as you can since only 50 copies of the game are being given away – so it’s a first come first serve basis.

Ryse Son of Rome PC version releases on October 10.
