The Evil Within’s New Trailer Shows How to Survive Without Weapons

The Evil Within is banking on its third-person horror-survival experience to take back the horror-genre fans by storm. That said, the game still features weapons and a lot of ammo to burn through.

In most cases that would seem like a petty aspect to have, one which might perhaps take away the scary element.

The latest trailer though shows us just how the game changes for the better when you run out of bullets.

Without the range advantage, players will have to frequently hide away to escape certain death. The trailer shows just how you can use nearby closets for this.

There’s also the feature of using enemy’s traps against them by luring them in. If you however want to bypass that encounter, you can also opt to sneak away using dim corridors.

When all of that fails, you can also simply start running away, which the trailer points out can work wonders.

Last week, Bethesda Softworks released the PC system requirements for the game. The studio only listed the recommended specifications, citing that those wanting to play below these should at least have 4 GB of VRAM. Otherwise optimal performance is not guaranteed.

The game demands that you should have at least an i7 processor with 50 GB of space, boasting at least a GeForce GTX 670 or equivalent with 4GBs of VRAM, and off course a validated Steam account.

The Evil Within has already gone gold and will release on October 14 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
