WWE 2K15 Footage from EGX Shows New Gameplay Element
New footage of WWE 2K15 has arrived from the Eurogamer Expo which shows exhibition matches between four of its superstars.
In the videos you can see John Cena and Goldust, and Randy Orton and Cesaro locking horns in the ring. The latter match also has Randy Orton using his signature finishing move, the RKO, to knock out Cesaro.
The footage gives us a good idea of the moves these characters will have access to, as well as the fast loading speed of the PlayStation 4 version where transitioning between scenes is almost seamless.
In the match between John Cena and Goldust we also get to see a new system for holds, which 2K Sports has yet to reveal. Around the 1:20 mark, Goldust grabs Cena by the neck and then switches between locking his arm into Cena’s neck and then letting go to shove his arm down.
Two glowing circles appear prior to the hold being released. We assume the developer will be explaining just how this new system will work and whether it will prove to be a game changer.
WWE 2K15 pretty much banks on its predecessor with overall improvements made in the visuals and character moves department. We know there are new mechanics in there as well, and perhaps there are more we’ve yet to know about.
WWE 2K15 will release on October 28 for the PS3, and Xbox 360, and on November 18 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
