Castlevania: Dracula X and Circle of the Moon Releasing for Wii U Virtual Console Next Month

By   /   Sep 26, 2014

Two classic Castlevania titles will be heading to the Wii U Virtual Console next month, Nintendo has announced.

Castlevania: Dracula X will be released in North America on October 2, while Castlevania: Circle of the Moon will arrive in the region on October 9.

Dracula X was originally released for the SNES in 1995. The game is a take on Castlevania; Rondo of Blood which was released by Konami on PC a couple of years before that. The title then got a sequel in 1997 in the shape of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

Circle of the Moon on the other hand was originally released on the Game Boy Advance in 2001 as a launch title. It was the first of a trilogy of titles on the platform, which was then followed up by a DS trilogy. It’s possible that Nintendo brings those to the Wii U virtual console later on also.

It goes without saying that both titles have tremendous nostalgic value for long term fans. Wii U owners would be greatly excited to know that they’ll be able to experience the games once again.
