Ayane is a Playable Character in Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine Maiden
We reported yesterday on the outstanding review scores that Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine Maiden has received from Famitsu this week, if that didn’t make you want to buy the game, maybe your love for Dead or Alive would. Ayane the female ninja (Kunoichi) from DOA series will be a playable character in Koei Tecmo’s survival horror title.
This news came in through a surprise announcement made by the developers on Famitsu Magazine. It was also revealed during the same story that in order to bring Ayane to the Hikami Mountain, you will first have to beat the game, this will unlock the character.
In Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine Maiden Ayane has a special scenario for herself. She is charged with finding a girl who went missing some time back. Since you would have beaten the original story of the game, this one is going to come with a twist. Ayane will not have the power to beat the fearsome spirits like the original protagonist.
This adds a greater element of stealth to an already intense game where you will now sneak around as much as you can. Obviously, the spirits are going to be at her back so she will be aided by a script that will help her get veiled from them or sometimes stunning the enemies away.
Not much was shared about the story details of the missing girl except that she is called Tsumugi Katashina, is suicidal and was ignored by her parents.
Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine Maiden is known as Zero: Nuregarsu no Miko in Japan where is being released as a Wii U exclusive day after tomorrow i.e. September 27.
