Games With Gold For October Features Chariot, Bad Company 2 and Darksiders II

For the month of October, the Xbox Live ‘Games with Gold’ program will have the indie game Chariot debut on the Xbox One as a free title.

The co-op action-platformer from Frima Studios is also coming to the PS4, PC and Wii U, and will replace Super Time Force when the time comes.

Since the month of October will have only one new Xbox One title, that means Crimson Dragon will continue its spree for the third month running.

On the Xbox 360, Microsoft is offering Battlefield: Bad Company 2, a title very dear to my heart and something which for various reasons I see as an excellent title for its time. It will be available for a free download starting on October 1 and will be replacing Halo: Reach.

Make sure to add both Super Time Force and Halo: Reach to your library before the end of the month. As for the latter, it’s really great for Microsoft to be offering Halo: Reach for free for all Xbox Live members, since the title is not included in the upcoming Halo: Master Chief Collection. The reason probably was because the game features a different lead and it wouldn’t make sense to include it in a bundle with a spotlight on Master Chief himself.

On October 16, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be replaced by Darksiders II.
