Dead Rising 3 Second PC Patch Addresses Game Crashes With Nvidia

By   /   Sep 25, 2014

Since we first heard of Dead Rising 3 making its way on to PC, I was pretty sure this version has the potential to be the best one.

Ever since the game released, it has been suffering from various bugs and issues, in short the game was a mess. Within hours of its release, we saw players reporting crashes and other game-breaking bugs on its official Steam page.

One of the issues Dead Rising 3 has been plagued with is crashing after booting especially for Nvidia Optimus users but thankfully, that problem has been resolved.

Capcom has fixed Dead Rising 3 Crash with Nvidia with this patch. You can see the changelog below.

  • Fixed a problem which was causing the game to crash after booting for many NVidia Optimus players
  • Fixed an issue which was causing some NVidia Optimus systems to enumerate video devices incorrectly
  • Made a change which improves performance and stability for some users

Furthermore,  Capcom stated that this new patch is tested with Geforce 344.11 WHQL Drivers and the Devs recommend you to update to  new drivers as they are said to contain some fixes to address stability issues.
