The Crew’s Closed Beta For PS4 and Xbox One Starts Next Week
Ubisoft has announced the closed console beta for its upcoming racer The Crew to take place next week on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
It’s unknown as to how long the beta will last and whether Ubisoft plans to do another run afterwards. We do know though that it will commence from Tuesday, September 30 and will have limited slots.
Hence, it’s best to sign up for it as soon as possible by going to the official website, if you haven’t already that is.
The lucky ones who do get into the beta will have access to the entire map of the United States and be able to drive wherever they please in the open-world racer.
Earlier this week, Creative Director Julian Gerighty confirmed that the game would require a constant Internet connection for players to play. The game is only multiplayer and in case of your ISP conking out, players will no longer be able to participate in races and so on.
He also revealed that The Crew boasts around 6000 square kilometers of the road for players to burn rubber on. The best part is that there will be no loading sequences so players can potentially drive from coast to coast without experiencing any kind of transitioning effect.
The Crew is scheduled for release on November 11 in North America and three days later in Europe for the PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
