Minecraft PS4 Update is Coming this October With Retail Version

Fans will be relieved to know that Microsoft’s takeover of Minecraft dev Majong hasn’t affected support for the PS4 version of the game. The game will be getting patch update on October 7 in addition to a retail copy of the title.

No details have yet been revealed regarding the patch but information is expected soon. The PS4 version of Minecraft features a world 36 times bigger than previous iteration of this title. Players on PS3 are now able to transfer their game saves to PS4.

Like me, fans who are eagerly waiting for the PS Vita version of the game will be happy to know that Sony will release fresh information about the Vita version soon. Including some proper information regarding cross buy functionality between PS3 and PS Vita.

Hopefully, support for all versions of Minecraft will continue and Microsoft’s acquisition of Mojang wouldn’t affect Minecraft on platforms other than Xbox.

In related news, Microsoft won’t seize permission for Youtubers to make “let’s play” videos and more. According to MS as long as the videos are in line with Youtube policies they have no issues.

Seems like all is well for Minecraft and Youtubers. You can share your views and opinions about the story in the comments below!
