Here’s InkQuest, Lionhead Studios’ Canned Adventure Game

By   /   Sep 24, 2014

We know how classy Fable series is; how nice it would have been if Lionhead Studios had not abandoned InkQuest, another adventure title that they were working on in the past. The game was canceled but here’s a video that shows it would have been great if it was completed.

InkQuest actually tells the story of a girl named Sophie. She has been transported into a magical book and for some reason she is trapped there. The only way out that she has now is through unfolding the mysteries of the magical world that she is in.

Here’s how it all started:

“At 2013’s Creative Day a team of 4 – Jonny Hopper, Iain Brown, Adam Sibbick and Mike Green – put together a small demo called InkQuest. It was part magical map, part audio book, part adventure game, and it was captivating enough that it was “incubated” – the concept was expanded further and built into a more robust, playable prototype.”

It is not common practice for developers to reveal their bit and pieces of their prototypes and demos that get canned, however it is different story with Lionhead Studios and InkQuest. Check out the trailer above and tell us if you would have wanted the game to become a reality.
