Alien: Isolation Will Feature Around 12-15 Hours of Gameplay Time
It has been confirmed that Alien: Isolation will have a total gameplay time of around 12-15 hours.
The confirmation comes after a previous report released a couple of weeks back that said the total gameplay time was around 25 hours. With the previous Alien game in the franchise being destroyed by the community and press for deceiving everyone about its contents, it was only natural for Creative Assembly to clarify the gameplay time.
“The play-time for the game is kind of tricky because of the systematic AI and because of the fact that so many different things can happen,” said the studio’s Gary Napper while speaking with GamingBolt.
“You can have some players that will play for a long time and never seen the alien. Other players will have deadly stand-offs and die a few times and maybe some humans might appear or androids. So, we see massively varied game-times from this way. But we are kind of aiming for a 12-15 hour campaign.”
Horror titles with extra long hours can become tiresome. It’s a relief to know that Creative Assembly has taken that in account for Alien: Isolation. Additionally players tend to be a bit cautious in survival horror titles and that can actually extend the total gameplay time. 15 hours sound to be enough for this particular game in my opinion.
Alien: Isolation went gold last week and is on schedule for release on October 7 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
